Poinsettia 2017 FUNDRAISING

This year, we are asking ALL players to sell to at least 4 people each! This is an Association wide fundraiser that will assist the Association with insurance, ice and referee costs. In the end, ALL players benefit by us not having to raise registration fees again. Prizes will be given out to the TEAM that raises the most as well as the Individual that raises the most.

Below is the ORDER FORM that can be emailed to each of your families. I will have paper copies available in the brochure display in the hallway near my office if you are not able to print it off.

New this year, is an on-line ordering portal where Families can ORDER ON-LINE! It’s fast. It’s easy! and will save you time. Below is the link for your use. Forward it on to as many locals as you can.

The DEADLINE for ORDERING is FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 24, which is a smaller window than we normally have; so SHARE SHARE SHARE that ordering link. Delivery date is Wednesday, December 6.

Here is your chance to empty your garage of unwanted, outgrown and unused hockey equipment!

Date: Saturday, June 24, 2017
Time: 10:00am-2:00pm
Location: South Cariboo Rec Centre – dry floor
Drop off Times: Saturday, June 24 between 9:00am -10:00am ONLY

You, as an equipment OWNER, have 3 options for the sale of your goods:
1. RENT a Table – rent a table from 100 Mile Minor Hockey at a cost of $10 (donation to 100 Mile Minor Hockey) and YOU supervise the sale of your items from 10:00am to 2:00pm. You keep all proceeds.

2. CONSIGN your itemsYOU drop off, log and price each of your items for sale with maximum and minimum acceptable pricing and WE will supervise the sale of your items and take 30% as a donation to Minor Hockey. *You MUST return for the 2:00pm closing time OR your unsold items AND cash sales will be considered a DONATION to 100 Mile Minor Hockey.* No exceptions! 3. The First Shift is a learn-to-play hockey program for kids aged 6 – 10 that are NEW to hockey. With an emphasis on fun, the program allows kids to easily try hockey for $199, which includes enrollment for a six (6) week on-ice curriculum and head-to-toe Bauer equipment that each child can keep. The initiative began in 2012 with four (4) pilot programs in Ontario and Nova Scotia, and expanded the following year to 40 and doubled to 80 programs in the 2015-2016 season.

The First Shift was created with the goal of creating an exceptional first experience in hockey not only for young players, but for their entire family.

Based on surveys of families and parents who children participated in The First Shift, 86 per cent of participants re-enrolled into hockey in The First Shift Transition Program, 100 percent of parents said their kids had fun and 100 per cent of parents would recommend the program to a friend.

Registration for the 2017-2018 season is NOW OPEN! You may find registration information and forms under OMHMHA INFO then REGISTRATION from the left menu bar or by clicking the link below.

All registrations must be accompanied by 50% registration fees as well as a valid CRD Rec Pass Number.

Early Registration ENDs Saturday, JUNE 24, 2017 with a REGISTRATION FUN DAY from 10am-2pm at the South Cariboo Rec Centre. BBQ, games, BC Hydro Bucket Truck Rides, Bouncy Castle and much more. Register now or wait until June 24! But don’t miss out…fees go up by $75 if you register after June 24.

Hockey 1 & 2 – begins September 19 and will be Tuesdays from 5:45pm-6:45pm & Saturdays from 9:00am-10:00am
Hockey 3 & 4 – begins September 21 and will be Thursdays from 5:45pm-6:45pm and Saturdays from 8:00am-9:00am
Atom Rec – begins September 20 and will be Wednesdays from 5:45pm-6:45pm. Weekends TBA depending on League Schedule

FIRST SHIFT – begins November 13 and runs through December 18, 2017. It will be Mondays from 5:45pm-6:45pm (6 weeks)

Peewee, Bantam & Midget will come on-line by August 1 or so. Stay tuned!!
